A person was shot and killed within the car parking zone of a Nashville enterprise Friday evening after a theft “prank” for a YouTube channel went fallacious, in keeping with police.

When officers received to City Air within the metropolis’s Hermitage neighborhood about 9:20 p.m., they realized Timothy Wilks, 20, and a pal approached a bunch of individuals, together with David Starnes Jr., with butcher knives as a part of the prank.

Starnes, 23, advised detectives he was unaware of the prank and shot Wilks in self-defense, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Division stated Saturday in an announcement. The standing of the pal who was with Wilks has not been disclosed.

Starnes has not been charged in reference to the incident, which stays beneath investigation.
