One of many highlights of Trey Anastasio‘s seventh The Beacon Jams livestream concert was a brand new arrangement of the Phish classic “Harry Hood.” Pro-shot video of Friday’s “Harry Hood” has been shared on Anastasio’s YouTube channel.
Trey went acoustic for the pre-jam sections of “Harry Hood” and was backed by the Rescue Squad Strings, which consists of Anja Wooden on cello, Rachel Golub on viola and Katie Kresek and Maxim Moston on violin. Anastasio reached for his “Ocedoc” electrical guitar following the “Thank You Mr. Hood” lyric.
At first, the “Harry Hood” jam featured Trey soloing whereas the Rescue Squad Strings carried out melodies composed by Don Hart. Then, the Trey Anastasio Band horn part of trumpeter Jennifer Hartswick, trombonist Natalie Cressman and saxophonist James Casey joined. “Harry Hood” got here to an excellent climax with the assistance of the remainder of TAB: drummer Russ Lawton, keyboardist Ray Paczkowski, percussionist Cyro Baptista and bassist Tony Markellis.
