YouTube Star Eden The Doll Says Violent Attack Caught On Video Was Hate Crime, LAPD Investigating – CBS Los Angeles

WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA) — Overwhelmed and robbed, a YouTube star and her mates have been the victims of a violent assault being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Division as a hate crime.

The assault occurred early Monday morning when three transgender ladies have been ready for an Uber in Hollywood. That’s when LAPD stated a person attacked and robbed them.

“It was absolutely the worst day of my life,” Eden Estrada, who goes by Eden the Doll on YouTube, stated.

Estrada, who has near half one million followers on the social media platform, stated she believes the assault was focused. She stated that after the three ladies have been robbed, individuals throughout the road have been yelling out derogatory phrases for many who establish as transgender and that was when the person began attacking them.

At one level, Estrada stated the person hit one in all her mates over the pinnacle — knocking her unconscious.

“My friend completely collapsed,” Estrada stated. “I’m not a doctor. I don’t know if she’s breathing. I’m trying my hardest to help her. I’m begging people for help. I’m screaming for help.”

The ladies stated the person took their cell telephones, wallets and purses. And once they have been screaming for assist, the ladies stated a big group of individuals have been simply recording them, not serving to or calling police. At one level within the video, individuals could be heard laughing on the ladies.

“When I was waking back up, literally all I saw and all I could see were all these lights, people with cameras, laughing at me and telling me that they wish that he had killed me,” one of many ladies stated. “They were upset because I was still alive.”

Estrada stated she was capable of get a replica of the video and provides it to police after witnesses uploaded it to social media and folks tagged her.

“I know that I’m so privileged, because I am a YouTuber and because people know who I am, but this happens all the time to women like me who aren’t on social media,” she stated. “We need this to stop.”

LAPD stated the investigation was ongoing, and requested that anybody with details about the id of the person within the video to name police.
