Netflix has revealed the primary trailer for Everlasting Sunshine of the Spotless Thoughts screenwriter Charlie Kaufman’s new movie, I’m Pondering of Ending Issues, forward of its arrival on the streaming platform subsequent month.
Set to premiere September four on Netflix, the psychological horror movie stars Jessie Buckley as Cindy, who – regardless of her misgivings about their relationship – accompanies boyfriend Jake (Jessie Plemons) on a visit to go to his mother and father (Toni Collette and David Thewlis.)
Trapped on the household’s farm throughout a snowstorm, Buckley’s character “begins to question the nature of everything she knew or understood about her boyfriend, herself, and the world,” in line with the movie’s synopsis.

The trailer opens with Cindy meditating on her relationship over voiceover because the pair drive by the snow, and slowly unravels from there. From a canine that received’t cease shaking, the unusual behaviour of Jake’s mother and father, and a photograph of Cindy as a baby of their household house, I’m Pondering of Ending Issues seems filled with basic Kaufman surrealism.
“People like to think of themselves as points moving through time, but I think it’s the opposite,” muses Buckley in the direction of the trailer’s finish.
“We’re stationary, and time passes through us, blowing like cold wind.”
Based mostly on Ian Reid’s 2016 novel of the identical title, I’m Pondering of Ending Issues marks the primary new movie from Kaufman in half a decade, having launched the stop-motion Anomalisa in 2015.
