Thandie Newton has mentioned she was “so scared” of Tom Cruise whereas engaged on Mission: Unattainable 2.
The actor was requested about her expertise taking pictures the 2000 motion movie in a brand new interview with Vulture, and whether or not she was provided roles in any of the movie’s sequels.
“Oh, I was never asked. I was so scared of Tom,” Newton, who portrays Nyah Nordoff-Corridor within the film, mentioned in response.
“He was a very dominant individual. He tries super hard to be a nice person. But the pressure. He takes on a lot. And I think he has this sense that only he can do everything as best as it can be done.”
She then recounted that whereas engaged on a selected scene, the 2 received “frustrated with each other” and “it wasn’t going well”.
In keeping with Newton, Cruise prompt rehearsing the scene by switching roles, that means Newton mentioned his line and he mentioned hers.
“And it was the most unhelpful … I can’t think of anything less revealing. It just pushed me further into a place of terror and insecurity,” Newton added. “It was a real shame. And bless him. And I really do mean bless him, because he was trying his damnedest.”
Ultimately, Newton mentioned she received the scene executed “because I realised what he wanted. He just wanted this alpha b****.”
“He wasn’t horrible,” she added of Cruise. ”It was simply – he was actually confused.”

Newton went on to star within the 2004 movie Crash, which earned her a BAFTA for Greatest Supporting Actress. Her portrayal of Maeve Millay on Westworld has gained her the Emmy for Excellent Supporting Actress in a Drama Collection.
